Core Technology

The Fin.
The Heat.

The extruded aluminum fin is the heart of the Ultra-Fin system. It clips directly to standard PEX tubing and spans across the joist bay, pressing against the subfloor above. Aluminum's exceptional thermal conductivity means heat moves from the water to the floor surface fast and evenly.

  • A

    Extruded Aluminum Fin

High-conductivity aluminum transfers heat rapidly from the tubing to the full subfloor surface.

  • B

    Intelligent Fin Spacing

Proprietary spacing formula ensures even heat distribution — no hot spots, no cold zones.

  • C

    PEX Clip System

Fins clip directly to standard PEX-A or PEX-B tubing with no special tools or fittings.

Installation Overview

Three Steps.
One System.

Ultra-Fin is designed for fast installation by any qualified HVAC or plumbing contractor. The system follows a repeatable three-step process regardless of joist type or floor covering.

Step 1 — Install aluminum fins between joists
01
Position the Fins
Clip aluminum fins between joists at the calculated spacing. Fins press up against the subfloor to maximize contact area.
Step 2 — Run PEX tubing through fin clips
02
Thread the Tubing
Run PEX tubing through the fin clip openings in a continuous serpentine pattern. No special connections required within the bay.
Step 3 — Complete the hydronic circuit
03
Connect the Circuit
Connect supply and return lines to your hydronic heat source. Commission the system, verify temperatures, and close up.

How Heat
Moves Through
the System

Ultra-Fin's aluminum fin geometry is precision-engineered to maximize the contact surface between the tubing and the subfloor. The result is a high heat-flux output with low supply water temperatures — meaning your boiler or heat pump works less to deliver the same comfort.
