The Ultra-Fin System

Inside the Cavity.
Invisible from Above.

Aluminum fins clip directly onto hydronic tubing suspended between your floor joists. The entire joist cavity becomes a radiant heating plenum — no contact with the subfloor required.

Works in new construction, renovations, and retrofits. Compatible with open web truss, I-joist, solid dimensional lumber, and engineered joists.

Everything You Need to Know

From the physics of fin-plate heat transfer to step-by-step installation guides — every detail, organized by topic.

Step by Step

Turning the Floor Into a Radiator

Three stages — inside the floor structure, invisible from every room above.

Step 01

Installation Between Joists

Tubing is suspended inside the joist cavity. Ultra-Fin aluminum fins clip directly onto the tubing — no drilling, no adhesive, no floor modification.

No Floor Build-Up No Dead Load No Concrete
Step 02

Hot Water Circulates

Heated water — typically 38–82°C — flows through the tubing. Heat transfers into the aluminum fins, which distribute thermal energy evenly throughout the cavity.

Low or High Temp Heat Pump Compatible Condensing Boiler Ready
Step 03

Fins Radiate and Convect

Fins emit radiant heat upward through the subfloor and drive convective airflow within the cavity — warming the entire floor surface, not just the strip above the pipe.
